SALSA EXPLOSION (1980-2000)

1985  John Santos forms the Afro-Cuban Jazz Ensemble which later became John Santos and the Machete Ensemble.  Their groundbreaking original compositions and powerful arrangement blending jazz, folkloric, and dance idioms  and created,  enthusiastic following in the Bay Area and all over the world.
